I cry out, love, keep your arms around me
I am a bird that's in need of grounding
I'm built to fly away,
I never learned how to stay

The night is gonna fall and the vultures will surround you
And when you're looking in the mirror, what you see is gonna astound you
But all these lines and greys refine, they are the maps of our design
Of what began on Monday morning

So this is probably not the best time to even ask such a question although when is a good time to really ask anything trivial seems like a hard question to answer. Hence I will stop rambling and just ask.

How young is "too young"?

Sweet Merlin. I just ate a whole box of cookies from the Junior Witches. I don't think I've ever felt more ashamed to admit that than now, but they were just so addictive. Maybe I shouldn't have bought a box to begin with, but they're really hard to say no to.

Right. That probably means that for the next several days, I'll be having nothing but salad and putting in extra running miles.

It's one of those nights. The ones where I feel sleepy right before I get into bed and then when I get there, I'm tossing and turning. I hate it. I can't even turn on the wireless and listen to something soothing in fear of something else turning on, hearing some other hijacker talk about what he or she is doing for the world.

Would it be too much to ask if we had the choice to NOT hear any of it and just enjoy good music?

Guess not. Then again, I am the one that kept it on myself.

I've heard a lot about the food fight in the Ministry for days now especially from customers who come looking for replacements. I'm probably the only one who has hoped they did get their pay raise, especially after all they went through.

Decided to do laundry now and this just came to mind. It's probably a little too late to mention this in lieu of those who had spaghetti sauce from the food fight... still perhaps for future situations, it'll help. Best ways I've heard of getting spaghetti out of clothes: running cold water through the back of the stain (from the front will soak it further into the fabric), and then using liquid detergent on the stain, rubbing in circular motion. If it's white, apply any bleaching potions. It worked for me once. Even if it could have just been luck then.

I should probably have chosen to do laundry at an earlier time.

I have been looking forward to going back to Ireland for all of March. I've gotten "it's a shame you couldn't come up here sooner" letters from relatives, but heck, I'm in Ireland for St. Patrick's Day almost every year and so this year, I had spent it with friends down in good old England. Plus, I had that marathon to run.

Anyway, I've been here since the past Saturday and it hit me just how much I've missed this place. And I have pictures to share!

I'm here for only a week, so I plan on making the most of it. The most of it, right now, would be revisiting family and reliving childhood memories especially anywhere outdoors! Next trip: Philippines. Perhaps for a summer trip.

Well, I didn't win the race, but thanks for coming out and giving support, all the same! Really, I think the best part was the adrenaline rush. I haven't felt that since the last Quidditch game!

I'll probably keep up the running routine after this though. Can't start slacking off too much. Who's with me?

I don't say anything. I keep my mouth shut, mostly just to stay safe. Looking back at history, it's evident that no bloodline is safe, and the best thing to do is just stay quiet.

I don't hate Muggles, I don't think I'm better than them. I don't think I'm better than anyone. I've spent a lot of years trying to make my life better and had a load of friends that helped me see that just because my parents didn't make as great of a salary than parents of other children did didn't mean that I was below them.

If I stay quiet it's for my safety's sake. But does that make me just as guilty?

One thing that I learned from today's marathon: I really need to participate in more races!

Two more days! I feel like I've been training for this for ages by now and it feels great. I'm normally one to usually try to get enough exercise into my already-busy schedule but this has been more than that, of course. And hearing the crowd again, even if it's not going to be as big as a World Cup audience, it would be just be one of those things I can't wait to enjoy about this whole marathon.

Remember, people, get enough sleep, keep yourself well hydrated and, Patrick, I'm expecting that sign that says "RUN".

I seriously miss Quidditch right now. Not missing the events that lead to the disbandment but in between free time, I've been sitting and thinking about it. The high you feel after winning a game... even during the game. Even when we didn't win a game, I don't think I was ever disappointed in going out on that pitch. We tried our best, after all.

Sometimes, even just being on a broom and being able to soar that high up is a feeling I really miss. Then I wonder if it's because I haven't been getting out as much as I want to. So I think I'll change that and participate in the marathon. It's no broom ride, but it's probably not a good idea to just sit around and develop love handles while sewing all day.

It's official. I'm getting married in this. Wave wand! )

Alright, no. Before my friends flip out on me for even having a secret boyfriend all this time, this is actually a dress that a friend of mine had begged me to commission for her with the slight alteration that it be above-the-knees short, rather than that long. The end result of it was this: Wave wand again! )

I do like how it came out so I'm not completely disappointed in myself, but I really absolutely fell in love with the original dress in the first picture. But my friend insisted that gowns that went all the way down to the ground and trailed over the floor were mistakes because they'd get dirty easily and everyone and their mum would step on it that you'd be pulled back mid-walk more than half the time. I'd assume, however, that there would be charms to keep that from happening. Maybe I'll stow away the first picture for my own future.

With the month of February drawing to an end sooner than usual (what with it being the shortest month, of course), I've lost track on exactly how many requests for specialized St. Patrick's Day clothing we've received. Of course I can absolutely understand the enthusiasm, being part Irish myself. But some of the ideas seem, well, out there. We've probably had a few dozen that insisted we lace our clothing with Felix Felicis so they'd have good luck for the rest of their lives. And many have been ready to pay several hundred galleons for it.

Would it not be cheaper just to brew it yourself? I don't know. I've never been a Potions person. The idea has been turned down, nonetheless.

I think my favourite idea, however, is a "kiss me I'm Irish" shirt with lipstick patterns that glow when you really have been kissed while wearing the shirt.
